HOW TO GET TO LAKE COMO
The Lake Como area is situated in the heart of the Alpine foothills in the region of Lombardy, approximately 50 km north of Milan and just a stone’s throw away from the Swiss border. The area is divided into the provinces of Lecco and Como, whose principal towns are 40 km. away.
With important railway stations, airports and motorways at only a short distance, Lake Como can be reached by whatever means of transport is most convenient to visitors.
Arriving by train
The entire Lake Como area is served by an efficient railway network that allows the most important resorts in the area to be reached rapidly and with ease, as well as the most important surrounding cities, such as Milan, Bergamo, Monza and Lugarno. The service is run by Trenitalia (Euro City), Trenord (regional and suburban lines) and TILO (international Milan-Bellinzona line).
Arriving by plane
Lake Como is well connected with the three principal airports serving the region of Lombardy.
Either train or shuttle coach services provide various solutions for rapid, efficient connections.
